IT'S ABOUT @#%*#@! TIME: REASON Y IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER

Get ready to hear some music. Check that,
some GREAT music. It's been two long years since Reason Y last occupied
it's respective niche in cyberspace and a lot has changed, and we're
not just talking about our site design and layout. For one thing,
a lot of the terrific bands that gave us our start are now sadly gone.
BIRD GETS THE SMILE, VERMILION, FIESEL, TRAIL VS. RUSSIA, and others
have called it quits, and although much of their monumental work remains
available for purchase in our online store, we can't help but lament
their loss. Yet, while some bands have faded into memory, many of
the original bands - THE BEATINGS, THE LOT SIX, KIMONE, and STOLEN
BIKE CRUSADE to name but a few - remain as active as ever, constantly
touring and continuing to put out fantastic music. In addition, a
couple of groups have, for one reason or another, changed their identity.
Those of you searching for information on THE FAITHFULL, for instance,
will need to look them up under their new moniker, NEVER ONLY ONCE.
Likewise, those searching for JERICHO RVA will need to check out SMOKE
OR FIRE. So as you can see, things here are more than a little different.
However, some things remain the same. Things like purpose, ambition,
and inspiration. We're still fully committed to seeking out and bringing
you talented, creative, forward-thinking bands, artists, and musicians.
As you wander through our site, you may notice that a disproportionate
amount of the groups we feature are no longer playing. And that's
okay. We have a ton of amazing new acts waiting in the wings. So stick
around and watch as the roster evolves and expands to include some
of the best up-and-coming independent artists around. Take a stroll
through our online store, pick up some great music, and astound your
friends with your foresight and vision. Things will only get better
from here. We promise.
