THE MILWAUKEES HARD AT WORK ON NEW 'ANTHEMS'
---------------------------------------------------------------
The Milwaukees have announced that they have completed the recording
process for their upcoming full-length release, American Anthems Volume
1. The new album, which is slated to be part of a two volume set,
was recorded at the Pigeon Club in Hoboken, NJ with producer Wayne
Dorell (Girls Against Boys, Yo La Tengo, Tonic) at the helm.
Currently, the band is back home, pouring over the 27 tracks of material
they recorded and trying to pick out which songs will make it onto
the final album. They are extremely pleased with the recordings so
far, and consider it to be far and away their best work to date.
Some song titles are "American Girl," "Jersey Style,"
"Marigold," "Oak Ridge," "Highway to the
Sun," "Lemon Tree", "Painkillers," "Rich
and Famous," "Rails at the Station," "I’m
Alive," "Save Me," and "Record Deal."
While no definitive release date has been set, it's likely that the
first installment of American Anthems will hit stores within the next
couple of months.
